Job summary

ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee custodial and facilities operations. You will supervise staff, manage work orders, and coordinate inspections to keep the church and parish buildings safe and well-maintained.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, plus experience with budgeting, vendor contracts, and emergency response. A Texas driver’s license and physical endurance are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, custodial management, or facility operations.
• Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
• Knowledge of diocesan policies and procedures.
• Physically able to perform maintenance tasks, climb stairs, lift moderate weight, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining a maintenance plan and budget.
• Receive and complete work orders from the Pastor and the school principal.
• Assign duties to maintenance staff.
• Initiate, perform and coordinate routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs across the physical plant, and address safety concerns.
• Maintain inventory control over equipment, janitorial supplies, and tools used for maintenance, cleaning of the grounds, and use in facilities.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with outside vendors (HVAC, landscaping, custodial, pest control, waste).
• Oversee contracted work to ensure quality and compliance with scope, budget, and timeline.
• Respond to facility-related emergencies.
