Job summary

St. Stephen Catholic Church is seeking a qualified Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day parish facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

The role focuses on safety, functionality, and maintenance by coordinating maintenance activities and vendors while supporting capital and operational projects. The candidate will manage building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), enforce safety policies, and collaborate with risk managers and committees to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities or related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices; familiarity with building codes, OSHA, and ADA.

Responsibilities

• Maintains property including grounds, offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through preventive maintenance programs.
• Manages physical operations including landscaping, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Monitors inventory and approves purchases; ensures compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
• Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors for renovations and new construction plans.
• Oversees budget development and monitors expenses; prepares reports and maintains records.
