Job summary

Holy Family Parish in Stow, OH is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across the church, school, and campus. The role reports to the Director of Facilities and includes setup for events, routine maintenance, and grounds care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years custodial experience, weekend on-call flexibility, and successful completion of a background check with Diocesan Virtus training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.
• Flexible availability for on-call weekends.
• Must pass background check and participate in Diocesan Virtus program.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned custodial duties throughout the church, school, and all parish facilities.
• Assist the Director of Facilities with general maintenance and repair projects.
• Assist with room setup and teardown for parish events, meetings, and special functions.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, and other designated areas as needed.
• Move furniture, equipment, tables, and chairs for parish activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility needs.
• Complete light maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting as needed.
• Maintain the appearance of parish grounds through landscaping assistance, litter removal, and seasonal maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Director of Facilities.
