Job summary

St. Charles Borromeo Parish and Academy is seeking a full-time maintenance and custodial worker (40 hours a week) with experience and knowledge of equipment, materials, and tools used in building maintenance and repairs.

Attendance reliability is imperative due to seven-day operations, with occasional schedule flexibility for holidays or weekend events. The role reports to the Pastor and involves caring for facilities and grounds, operating power equipment, and supporting school and parish

Qualifications

Experience with building maintenance and repairs.
Ability to lift heavy objects (75 lbs).
Reliable attendance with flexible schedule for events/holidays.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, parishioners, and guests.
Open church and school at the start of the day.
Set up or take down furniture for events and daily lunch service.
Maintain appearance and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
Operate power equipment such as floor scrubbers and power washers.
Perform maintenance and repairs (painting, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
Communicate information clearly to staff and public.
Other duties as assigned.
