Job summary

Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Parish Outreach Coordinator to lead planning and execution of parish-based engagement and community outreach programs.

You will promote programs, work with clergy, and help advance fundraising efforts while coordinating with parishes across 19 counties. Strong communication and organizational skills required; travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mission-driven outreach.
• Minimum of 2 years’ faith-based experience.
• Experience working with clergy.
• Experience in deadline-driven environments.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
• Extensive knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mission Advancement leadership to develop a comprehensive community marketing, communications, and public relations strategy.
• Attend Deanery meetings and Archdiocesan events to foster parish relations.
• Promote Catholic Charities programs, services, events, and campaigns to parishes.
• Build relationships with priests and parish staff.
• Connect parish leadership to Catholic Charities programs and services.
• Prioritize parish support in daily work flows to build trust and reliability.
• Create, execute, and measure parish and community outreach efforts.
• Meet with parish leaders to learn parish ministries and opportunities for collaboration.
• Support the agency’s strategic plan for rural parish outreach and needs-based engagement.
• Keep parishes informed of resources available to parishioners.
