Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a Parent Peer Support Specialist who uses their lived experience as a caregiver to assist families navigating behavioral health systems. You will provide encouragement, advocacy, and connections to community resources while helping families set goals and build confidence navigating care pathways.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a caregiver for a child with behavioral health challenges.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and engagement skills.
• Ability to travel to work locations and throughout the community.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Use lived experience to build trust and provide peer support to families.
• Serve as liaison and advocate connecting caregivers with services and resources.
• Provide one-on-one consultation to identify goals and navigate systems of care.
• Partner with MRSS team to engage caregivers in recommended services.
• Help families access natural supports and community resources.
• Build relationships with service providers, schools, and community organizations.
• Support families in navigating behavioral health and community services.
• Complete required documentation within established timeframes.
• Meet agency productivity expectations.
• Act as a collaborative member of the MRSS/Crisis Department.
• Maintain proficiency in the electronic health record system.
• Respond with flexibility as family and program needs evolve.
• Follow Best Point policies and professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
