DHL eCommerce is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Ohio to manage the physical handling of mail and small parcels in the distribution center. You will lead staff, supervise processing and transportation, and ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with DHL policies and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes staffing by shift, performance coaching, training, and collaboration with HR for new hires, while driving continuous improvement and cost-efficient results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience supervising in distribution/mail/warehousing environments.
• Knowledge of quality and safety programs in operations.
• Experience using process-improvement tools (e.g., 5s).

Responsibilities

• Assign work, set completion dates, review performance and manage in line with policies.
• Supervise employees and processes to achieve quality and profitability.
• Establish teamwork and empowerment while ensuring fairness and consistency.
• Ensure proper staffing by department and shift based on mail/parcel volume.
• Conduct performance reviews and train direct employees.
• Monitor facility equipment and ensure production standards are met.
• Support distribution center plans with timely fulfillment and cost efficiency.
• Review KPI and quality reports and address gaps to meet targets.
• Suggest improvements to production methods and working conditions.
• Oversee safety activities and ensure compliance with safety policy.
