Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions is seeking a Transportation Specialist for a 6 month W2 contract in Bolingbrook, IL. The role is hybrid with onsite presence six days a month (Tues-Thurs every other week during corporate weeks), reporting to Guest Services support for parcel PODs and address reroutes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Logistics/Distribution/Supply Chain.
• Familiarity with SAP; comfortable learning new software.
• Strong analytical skills are required.
• Experience coordinating with vendors/ carriers is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with good organization and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Collect parcel PODs from carrier systems and submit via internal tools.
• Submit guest-requested address reroutes to carriers.
• Track escalations and manage reroute requests in internal databases.
• Assist Guest Services with escalated parcel transportation issues as needed.
• Communicate delivery information to carriers to ensure successful deliveries.
• Manage shipment exceptions and prioritize daily shipments to meet service goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
