County of Riverside's Assessor - County Clerk - Recorder (ACR), Assessor Mapping Division seeks a GIS Specialist II who will be assigned to Riverside to manage the Assessor Parcel Layer, GIS datasets, and the Maps Inventory. The role includes reviewing legal descriptions and providing assessments for the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Power to Sell listings.

Formación

• Three years of GIS experience; completion of GIS-related coursework may substitute for up to two years.
• Knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics as applied to GIS work.
• Ability to apply GIS techniques, perform computations, and prepare reports; work with others.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and update customized maps, diagrams, exhibits, and reports.
• Edit and analyze spatial data; research and compile data.
• Update GIS data layers.
• Research data from record maps, land grants, deeds for survey histories, boundaries, easements, and locations.
• Establish geodetic control for mapping using coordinate geometry (COGO).
• Develop macros and other GIS applications to automate tasks.
• Operate and maintain GIS hardware and related software.
