Job summary

The City of Greenville is seeking a Paratransit Operations Supervisor to oversee Greenville Area Transit paratransit service operations, supervise operators, recruit and train staff, and handle reporting and scheduling. The role also serves as relief driver/dispatcher with night/weekend/holiday shifts.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, regulatory compliance with FTA and local policies, and maintaining program guides and customer access while managing budgets and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, logistics, business administration, education, or related field that provides the skills and abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in paratransit or transit operations, logistics, supply chain management, or fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-demand micro transit operations and paratransit service operations for Greenville Area Transit.
• Manage a team of dispatchers and operators in the delivery of on-demand micro transit and complimentary ADA paratransit services.
• Provide paratransit services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and comply with the Federal Transit Administration Contractors Manual.
• Ensure compliance requirements for Federal Transit Administration funding are met.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices for the transportation of customers with disabilities.
• Assist in the development of the operating budget.
• Prepare accurate periodic and ad hoc reports on ridership and operating statistics, as well as assist in providing information during audits.
• Conduct investigations and respond to customer complaints, incidents, and accidents involving operators and vehicles.
• Develop and implement program guides to maximize customer access to paratransit services.
• Review and approve customer applications and provide new customer orientation.
• Create daily trip manifests for dispatchers and operators.
• Ensure the accuracy of timekeeping records.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, administer disciplinary actions, and ensure compliance with City of Greenville and departmental policies.
• Participate in the selection and hiring of paratransit employees; and
• Maintain a safe work environment.
