Job summary

Parchment School District is seeking an Aides to provide academic support in small groups during the Intervention/Enrichment period, under the guidance of classroom teachers or instructional coaches. Work focuses on identified at-risk students using multiple assessment data points.

The role involves tutoring in reading and mathematics, preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, and helping create a welcoming classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and substantial college coursework or an associate degree.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Experience with children in an educational setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional support for reading and/or math.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students needing help.
• Help prepare instructional materials for classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Help create a welcoming, supportive classroom environment.
• Support social skills and positive behavior in students.
• Participate in professional development to improve skills.
• Collaborate with staff to meet diverse student needs.
