Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree; completion of 60 credit hours toward a degree; or a passing score on the Praxis Para Pro or WorkKeys exams or an equivalent assessment.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an elementary school setting is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee a positive learning environment under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist the teacher with daily learning experiences aligned with instructional practices.
• Collaborate with the teacher to inform curricular planning and classroom decisions.
• Provide accommodations for students as required.
• Promote a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment.
• Work cooperatively with others and maintain professional relationships.
• Provide individualized instruction to identified students and small groups in reading and mathematics.
• Plan instructional activities meeting diverse needs and abilities in reading and mathematics.
• Communicate progress to teachers throughout interventions.
• Retrieve and analyze performance data to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
