Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District is seeking Paraprofessional staff to assist teachers, counselors and administrators in delivering educational services to students with special needs. The positions support remedial, enrichment and independent living activities within an intensive behavior classroom, with a 195-day school year and daytime hours.

Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals. These positions are in an intensive behavior classroom.
Minimum of 7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year
High School Parapro Day: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 7.0 hours/day
2 years of college coursework
OR an Associate\'s Degree or higher
OR high school diploma with the passage of the ParaPro Assessment prior to employment
One year of related successful work experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
A valid Educational Aide Permit or license issued by the Ohio Department of Education
Experience working with students with special needs
Step 1 - $17.47/hour (Non-degreed); $19.74/hour (2-year degree or above); $21.50 (Teaching Certificate)
