Supplemental Health Care, Inc. is hiring paraprofessionals to work with teachers in partnering school districts to support students with special needs academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will assist one-on-one or in small groups, help implement behavior plans and IEP goals, and support students with mobility, personal care, and daily routines in a inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ParaPro exam or higher education
• Minimum 1 year experience with children
• Experience with children with special needs or behavior management
• Proficient in standard computer applications
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to collaborate

Responsibilities

• Support students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork and routines
• Assist with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation as needed
• Help implement behavior plans and IEP goals with consistency
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to create an inclusive classroom
• Contribute to a positive learning environment where students feel safe and valued

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND either a Passing Score on the ETS ParaPro Exam OR an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or at least two years of study (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) at an accredited college.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children
• Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management
• Proficient in the use of standard computer applications
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with existing staff
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
• Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
• Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
• Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
• Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
• Celebrating small victories every single day
• Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
