Niles Township High Schools District 219 is seeking a Paraeducator Laboratory Assistant to support instructional labs and classrooms. The role includes organizing equipment, maintaining safety standards, and providing clerical support to teachers and staff.

The job of Paraeducator Laboratory Assistant is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for organizing, maintaining and providing equipment, and related materials in proper quantities for use in classroom, laboratory experiments; ensuring safety guidelines are applied to materials, classrooms and prep areas; and providing clerical support to teachers and staff.

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
