Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher degree preferred.
• Safety Care certification or ability to obtain it.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Calm demeanor with de-escalation skills.
• Reliable, organized and sound judgment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to support academics, social skills and ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students across settings.
• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally and with ADLs.
• Work with teachers, BCBA and related service providers.
• Collect data on learning and behavior goals as needed.
• Facilitate inclusion in general education classrooms.
• Understand special education procedures and records handling.
• Participate in consultations with SPED team.
• Maintain ongoing communication with program and staff.
