Job summary

Woburn Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional for the RISE program to support students with disabilities in general and small-group settings. Responsibilities include ABA-related activities, behavioral support, and collaboration with teachers and related service providers.

The role requires a High School diploma (higher preferred), Safety Care certification or willingness to obtain it, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
• Safety Care certification required or ability to become certified.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred or willingness to receive training.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging behaviors and maintain calm, neutral demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students across all environments.
• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially, and with ADLs in the school setting.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of teachers, BCBA, and related service providers.
• Collect data on student learning and behavior goals as needed.
• Facilitate inclusion in general education classrooms.
• Maintain records as requested by teachers or SPED team.
• Communicate with SPED team and building staff about students.
