RISE Prep Academies seeks a Paraprofessional: Academic and/or Behavior Support to aid students in the Upper Academy (9-12) in Woonsocket, RI. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavior and academic support, and adherence to RI standards.

The starting salary is $37,644 with compensation reflecting years of experience and current certification. This is a full-time on-site position requiring citizenship, residency, or work visa clearance.

Qualifications

• Be of good character.
• High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RI Paraprofessional Standards must be met or obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Safety Care Certification within 1 year of employment, if applicable
• Associates degree in education or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in General Education and/or Special Education settings with behavior and/or academic support.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to maximize instructional time.
• Monitor and support adaptations or accommodations for scholars with disabilities.
• Support teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks and administrative duties.
