Job summary

Roosevelt School District 66 is seeking a Paraprofessional III to support General Education, Preschool, Exceptional Student Services and Behavior Support Programs. The role involves instructional and non-instructional (clerical) support for assigned teachers in a school setting.

Responsibilities include classroom management, small-group instruction, materials preparation, behavioral support, and assisting with testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and an AA degree or 60 hours of college credits or a passing score on a paraprofessional test.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR and First Aid certificates
• Food Handlers Card
• Physical requirements as listed in job description.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and classroom management under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and training modules.
• Assist with established student behavior and social skills.
• Support students with activities of daily living and movement with assistive equipment.
• Assist with student testing administration and scoring.
• Attend in-service training for professional development.
