Job summary

Hope Learning Academy in Glen Carbon, IL is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional to support students in a classroom setting and assist with data tracking and entry.

You will help implement IEP goals, foster independence, and maintain a safe learning environment while following the school schedule and educational programs.

Qualifications

• 19 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s license.
• Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
• Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
• Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
• Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.

Hourly Rate: $17.15 - $18.80

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Salary Range: $17.15 To $18.80 Hourly
