Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hold or attain Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s license.
• Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a classroom setting and complete data tracking and entry.
• Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ IEP goals and objectives.
• Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and educational programs.
• Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.
