Job summary

Prairie View Elementary School in Goshen, IN is hiring a STRIVE Paraprofessional (SN) to support students with special needs under teacher and therapist guidance. The role focuses on implementing IEP-based activities, assisting with personal and emotional needs, collecting progress data, and ensuring smooth communication among staff.

Hours are 7:15am-2:45pm during the school year, 180 days, with a wage of $18.00–$18.20 per hour (Schedule #21-4).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of one of: 48 college credits, CDA credential, ParaPro score 460+, or 10 Paraeducator training modules within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in caring for personal and emotional needs of students.
• Implement activities from IEPs and therapies.
• Provide instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Collect and summarize student progress data.
• Support/ facilitate communication between general and special education teachers.
• Attend STRIVE department meetings as required.
