Orchard Farm School District's Discovery Elementary School in Saint Charles, MO is seeking multiple paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 school year. Four positions are available at Discovery Elementary School to provide support in general and special education settings, including behavior and supervision during daily activities.

Paraprofessionals assist students with disabilities, help with personal care, manage routine tasks, and communicate with staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or DESE-approved 20-hour substitute certification course, required.
• Missouri substitute certification, preferred.
• Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner.
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Ability to follow written and oral communication.
• Ability to use word processing and data entry systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach, walk, stand frequently.
• Ability to problem solve situations in a professional and logical manner.
• Ability to remain calm and patient at all times.
• Ability to motivate students for classroom achievements.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities according to individualized needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs.
• Assist students with physical care including feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene.
• Assist in managing the behavior of students.
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law.
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration.
• Help supervise arrival and departure of students, and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day.
• Follow instructions from teachers and administrators.

Discovery Elementary School is seeking multiple paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year!

Our district mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities.Orchard FarmSchool Dis trictis located in St. Charles, MO with a current enrollment of approximately2,600students and growing.Over the last decade, new developments like Charlestowne and New Town, situated along Highway 370, have contributed significantly to our increase in enrollment.
