Job summary

Sage Connections, a woman- and therapist-owned company, is hiring a full-time W-2 Paraprofessional to support K-12 students in the school setting for the 2025-2026 year. The role emphasizes teamwork with educators, nurses, and therapists to follow care plans and promote student well-being.

The position offers a 30-40 hour work week, Monday–Friday, August 2026–May 2027, with benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement is required (one of the options listed).
• Associate degree or higher (or 2 years of college coursework: 48 semester or 72 quarter hours).
• Passing the ParaPro assessment (state-approved paraprofessional exam; Ohio passing score 456).
• Experience with children or students with special needs is preferred.
• Ability to follow medical, behavioral, and personal care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily living activities, mobility, feeding, and hygiene needs.
• Support students in the classroom and during school activities.
• Follow care plans and behavior support strategies as directed by staff or medical teams.
• Document services and share observations with the support team.
• Promote student safety, independence, and dignity.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and nurses to meet student needs.
