Job summary

Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center is seeking a 1:1 Paraprofessional at the Yoder Learning Center to provide individualized instructional, behavioral, and personal support for a designated student throughout the school day.

The role works under the direction of classroom teachers and educational professionals to help the student access the curriculum, achieve IEP goals, build independence, and participate fully in the school environment.

• Provide one-on-one academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to an assigned student.
• Assist in implementing the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), behavior intervention plan, and other educational supports.
• Reinforce instruction and learning activities as directed by the classroom teacher and intervention team.
• Support the student's communication, organization, self-regulation, and daily routines.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs, when required, while maintaining the student's dignity and privacy.
• Monitor student progress and document observations, behaviors, and interventions as required.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise the assigned student during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, recess, transportation, and other school activities as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
