Job Description

The Millis Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to support high school students with special needs in both inclusion and small group settings. The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individualized and small group support to high school students across general education and special education classrooms.
• Assist the student with academic tasks, behavior regulation, organization, and social interaction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and related service providers to implement accommodations and modifications.
• Support the student in transitioning between classes and activities throughout the school day.
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies and help implement the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with a variety of data collection methods is preferred.
• Technological literacy required.
• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
