Job summary

PODER Academy Secondary is seeking a General Paraprofessional for the 2025/2026 school year. This full-time role focuses on supporting students’ academic and social-emotional needs in a small-school setting.

The paraprofessional will provide targeted instruction, data review, and collaboration with staff to ensure a positive learning environment. Background check clearance and a Substitute License are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or higher.
• Background check clearance required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required).
• Substitute license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individual instruction.
• Conduct data review and academic support.
• Assist with sanitation and classroom coverage.
• Support social-emotional needs and collaborate with team.

Position Summary

PODER Academy Secondary is a small-school environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy supporting students’ academic and social/emotional needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or higher

Able to pass a background check

Passion and/or experience working with ages 5-12

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required)

Substitute License (required).

Responsibilities

Provide small group and individual instruction, conduct data review, extra sanitation, academic support, classroom coverage, & social/emotional support as needed.

Collaborate with team members to fulfill students’ academic & social/emotional needs

Be a self-motivated team player, ready to support needs of students, staff, and overall school
