Job summary

TSP Ed Co in New Bedford, MA, is seeking a compassionate Paraprofessional / Instructional Aide to support students in a school setting. You will work with teachers and the special education team to provide targeted assistance and foster a positive learning environment.

You will provide direct 1:1 and small-group support, help with academics and classroom activities, and reinforce positive behaviors as part of a multidisciplinary school team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral or developmental needs preferred.
• Ability to follow individualized student plans and established classroom strategies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, patience, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessional / Instructional Aide to join our team and support students in a school setting in New Bedford, MA.

This is a great opportunity for a Paraprofessional who enjoys working directly with students, building meaningful relationships, and helping children develop the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional skills they need to be successful at school.

What You'll Do

As a Paraprofessional, you will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the educational team to provide individualized support to students. Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct 1:1 and/or small-group support to students
• Assisting students with academic assignments and classroom activities
• Supporting students with behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs
• Reinforcing positive behaviors and implementing established behavior strategies
