Special Education Teacher

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students in a school setting in Amherst, NH.

This is a great opportunity for a Special Education Teacher who enjoys building meaningful relationships with students, creating an inclusive learning environment, and helping children reach their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional goals.

What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with school staff, families, and related service providers to provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities may include:

• Developing and implementing individualized instruction based on students' IEP goals
• Providing specialized academic and behavioral support to students
• Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Monitoring and documenting student progress toward individualized goals
• Implementing accommodations, modifications, and classroom support strategies
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student planning and goal development
• Supporting students' social-emotional, behavioral, communication, and functional development
• Maintaining accurate student records and documentation
• Maintaining student confidentiality and following all school and TSP Ed Co policies

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate for practice in New Hampshire
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements
