Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Computational Designer to join our data-driven design team. The role focuses on developing advanced computational workflows for architecture, urban design, planning, and engineering projects across local and international clients.

The candidate should translate design intent into computational solutions, drive digital transformation, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to work from offices nationwide or remotely is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Computational Design, Interactive Media Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (Master's Degree preferred).
• Strong skills in Rhino and Grasshopper with demonstrated experience building and deploying complex parametric models.
• Knowledge of Python and using it to extend Grasshopper capabilities.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in urban design, planning, or architectural firms.

Responsibilities

• Build computational models for various projects.
• Build, maintain and improve computational workflows and products across the firm.
• Work interoperably between 3D modeling software, GIS, BIM, and software development environments.
• Work with environmental, economic, planning and demographic data sources/formats.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and develop strategies.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, best practices, and software applications.
• Build technical expertise and provide continuing education across the firm.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly verbally and graphically.
• Create presentations and report materials to support projects.
• Build quality relationships with team members and across the organization.
