Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in EMS or related field preferred.
• Current State Paramedic License (and NREMT if required by state).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for more than 3 years and acceptable driving record.
• EVOC certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and clinical assessment skills.
• Prior EMS or mobile healthcare experience preferred.
• Must be 21 or older; must lift 125 lbs solo and 250 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for medical assistance, interfacility transfers, and in-home assessments.
• Provide advanced life support (ALS) care including medications, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and trauma stabilization.
• Collaborate with RNs, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient transitions from hospital to home.
• Monitor and document patient condition during transport and communicate changes to medical personnel and receiving facilities.
• Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment in readiness.
• Educate patients and families on medications, follow-up care, and health management when applicable.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards in all interactions.
