Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks an experienced Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic to deliver skilled, patient-centered care across admission to discharge. The role requires AR EMS protocol adherence, rapid assessment, and effective teamwork in a high-stress setting.

Responsibilities include stabilizing acutely ill patients, coordinating emergent transport, and mentoring others. A valid MA paramedic license, CP-C, CPR, and ACLS are required, with a driver’s license and travel to local facilities

Qualifications

• Certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic by MA DPH.
• Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) by IBSC.
• CPR - Basic Rescue certified by Red Cross or AHA.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support by AHA.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Administers skilled, family-centered medical care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Responds to a wide range of emergency situations as required.
• Assesses, stabilizes, and manages acutely ill patients per MA EMS protocols; arranges emergent transport.
• Delegates tasks to others according to competency and job description.
