Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a skilled Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic to provide comprehensive prehospital care. The role includes patient assessment, stabilization, and transport coordination across a 12-hour shift schedule.

The position offers a $29.35–$39.53 hourly range with potential signing bonuses for external hires. Qualified applicants must hold MA EMS credentials and maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Active MA paramedic license (and CP-C certification within 1 year of employment).
• CPR and ACLS certifications required or in progress.
• Valid driver’s license and EMS credentials upheld.
• Experience in urban EMS settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers skilled, family-centered medical care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per protocol.
• Responds to a wide range of emergency situations as required.
• Stabilizes and manages acutely ill patients per EMS protocols.
• Arranges emergent transport to appropriate facility when needed.
• Documents patient care and ensures continuity with other providers.
