Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks an experienced EMT-Paramedic to provide skilled, family-centered medical care across the patient continuum. You will assess, stabilize, and manage acutely ill patients, coordinating with on-call hospitalists for emergent transport.

The position requires Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic certification, CP-C, CPR, and ACLS, plus a valid driver's license. Prior urban EMS experience is preferred, with a strong focus on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Certification as EMT-Paramedic by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
• CP-C certification by IBSC; CPR certification by Red Cross or AHA.
• ACLS certification; valid driver's license.
• Experience with urban EMS and high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Administers family-centered medical care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per protocol.
• Responds to emergencies and stabilizes acutely ill patients.
• Coordinate with hospitalists and transport to appropriate facilities.
