Qualifications

• Licensed Michigan Paramedic.
• Valid Michigan driver license.
• Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.
• Trauma certification (PHTLS or ITLS) within 6 months.
• Pediatrics certification (PEPP/PEARS/PALS) within 6 months.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.
• EMS Safety certification within 6 months.
• FEMA NIMS IC-100.b, 200.b, 700 & 800.b upon hire.
• SCT and FTO certifications within 6 months.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Ability to use maps/computer mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Mission, policies, and standards of MMR.
• Examine patients for signs of injury/illness and assist others.
• Provide prompt care and stabilize patients before/during transport.
• Prepare supplies/equipment and return unit to service quickly.
• Drive and operate emergency vehicles to locations safely and legally.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and stocking of supplies.
• Document observations and care provided for records.
