Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a PRN Paramedic to join its Transport EMS team. You will provide advanced life support care and transport patients under medical direction and department protocols.

Responsibilities include assessing patient condition, documenting care reports, maintaining EMS equipment, and ensuring readiness of vehicles and ALS gear. Required are active Kentucky Paramedic license, BLS, PALS & ACLS certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider issued by AHA or ARC.
• PALS & ACLS certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support care and patient transport under medical direction and department protocols.
• Complete patient care reports accurately within required timeframes.
• Maintain vehicle readiness, equipment and ALS gear between shifts and calls.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and paramedic scope of practice.

SummaryProvides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS medical protocols if transporting a patient.
