Job summary

Haxtun Health Ambulance seeks a flexible Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for PRN coverage in Colorado. You will respond to emergency calls and inter-facility transfers, delivering high-quality care under EMS protocols and state guidelines. This role offers on-call hourly pay and per-trip commission, with weekend call coverage from Saturday 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must hold Colorado EMT certification (Basic, Advanced, or Intermediate) and CPR for healthcare.

• ICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliance.

Job description

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

If you're looking for flexible, PRN-only work and a meaningful way to support patients in your community, Haxtun Health Ambulance might be the perfect fit. Unlike a typical 9-to-5 position, this role does not have regularly scheduled shifts. Instead, our dedicated responders provide coverage on an as-needed basis.

Here's How It Works

• Weekday coverage is handled by the first available responders who can answer the call.
• Weekend coverage is provided by two on-call responders from Saturday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. During this time, you'll receive on-call hourly pay.
• In addition to on-call pay, you'll also earn commission based on a per-trip basis for every call you take.

As an EMT, you'll be responsible for providing immediate, high-quality care to critically ill and injured patients. This includes responding to both emergency calls and inter-facility transfers, all while following the guidelines set by the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current valid Driver’s License
• Must possess and maintain current Colorado EMS certification (Basic, Advance, or Intermediate)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtainICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliance

• Possess and maintain all other certificates required by the level of EMT certificate (ACLS, PALS, etc)
• Possess and maintain CPR certification for healthcare.
