Paramedic OR Nurse - LPN, LVN or RN

Overview

Join our team at CSL Plasma as a Paramedic or Nurse (LPN, LVN, or RN). This full-time role involves evaluating donor suitability for plasma donation, administering immunizations, providing emergency medical care, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will report to the Center Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Promote positive relations with donors and conduct confidential interviews to assess suitability.
2. Respond to medical questions from staff and perform health assessments and history reviews.
3. Notify donors of test results, provide counseling, and explain informed consent procedures.
4. Handle medical emergencies following SOPs and maintain emergency kits.
5. Review lab results, assess donor signs and symptoms, and oversee immunization programs.
6. Accurately record data in electronic systems, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure safety policies are followed.
7. Maintain confidentiality of all personnel and donor information.
8. Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, or medical training program. Foreign graduates must hold current licensure or certification.
• Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience; experience in plasma or blood collection preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments and instruct donors and staff effectively.

Working Conditions

• Decision-making with moderate impact, ability to follow instructions, and observe safety protocols.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, assess skin and abnormalities, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with PPE requirements.
• Availability for overtime and extended hours as needed.
