Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX seeks a Paramedic (ED/ER Tech) to support trauma care, patient transport, and airway management during nights. You will perform IVs, EKGs, monitor vitals, and assist physicians under hospital protocols.

Requires EMT training, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with ER experience preferred. The role involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am), full-time status, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for new hires.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Basic EMT training or ER experience required.
• ACLS certification current within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification current within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision.
• Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies.
• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation.
• Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by hospital policy.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care.
