Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX seeks a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide immediate patient care in our ER. You will conduct initial assessments, administer basic life support, and support the healthcare team during fast-paced emergencies.

You will triage, document in EMR, and ensure readiness of equipment while collaborating with nurses and physicians to deliver coordinated care. A strong EMT background with certifications is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality, immediate patient care by utilizing EMT training to administer basic life support, stabilize patients, and respond swiftly to medical emergencies in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Perform detailed patient assessments to evaluate vital signs, symptoms, and medical history, ensuring timely identification of urgent needs and accurate communication with the healthcare team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to contribute to an integrated care approach, promoting continuity and efficiency in patient treatment plans
• Assist in triaging patients upon arrival by assessing the severity of their condition and supporting decisions on prioritization of care based on clinical protocols
• Maintain precise and thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) , supporting legal compliance and clinical continuity
• Inspect and manage emergency medical equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functionality, cleanliness, and availability, contributing to a safe and prepared emergency care environment
