Job summary

Acadian Ambulance Service in Jasper, Texas is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide pre-hospital advanced life support and transport patients in accordance with Acadian protocols. You will perform EMS runs, document patient care, train teammates as needed, and maintain equipment readiness while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Applicants must have state EMS certification, CPR and ACLS, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work part-time shifts in a dynamic environment with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State certification as a Paramedic.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• Current and valid state-issued driver’s license (Louisiana Class D equivalence).
• Ability to read, write and communicate professionally with employees and managers.
• Knowledge of company protocols and safety policies.
• Ability to drive large vehicles in various conditions.
• Preferred but not required: NALS, PALS, PHTLS, PEEP, Instructor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Examiners patient for signs of illness/injury and assists medical personnel.
• Administers basic to advanced life support and transports patient.
• Handles patient transfer to receiving facility and documents care provided.
• Maintains inventory and tests equipment; ensures ambulance is ready.
• Trains new employees and precepts EMT-Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic students.
