Job summary

Acadian Ambulance Service in Texas seeks a dedicated EMT-Basic to provide timely pre-hospital basic life support and patient transport according to established standards and protocols. You will examine patients, administer BLS, document care, and communicate effectively with receiving facilities and team members.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, EMT-Basic certification, CPR, and a valid state driver's license.

Qualifications

Must have High School Diploma or GED.
Must hold National/State EMT-Basic certification.
Must have current CPR certification.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Must be able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively.

Responsibilities

Examinations of patients for signs of illness/injury and assist other medical personnel.
Administer basic life support care within licensure/certification and protocols.
Provide safe, efficient transport of patient to medical facility.
Document patient condition and treatment on EMS run reports.
Perform unit inventory and equipment testing; ensure ELS gear is ready.
Operate ambulance safely and follow company driving guidelines.
