AMR is hiring Paramedics who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality care, including basic and advanced patient treatment. Internal applicants must use the OKTA portal.

You will assess emergencies, provide advanced medical care with defibrillation, EKG monitoring, oxygen and IV therapy, and lead scenes when required, while coordinating with public safety personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• California Driver's License.
• Ambulance Driver’s License (DMV).
• Medical Examiner’s Card.
• State of California Paramedic License.
• CPR Card (AHA Health Care Provider).
• ACLS Card (AHA).
• PALS Card (AHA) or PEPP.
• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy.
• ICS courses
• IS-100B (ICS 100)
• IS-200B (ICS 200)
• IS-700A (NIMS)
• IS-800B (NIMS)

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
