Job summary

AMR is seeking Paramedics in California to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency and advanced patient care. You will utilize defibrillation, EKG monitoring, oxygen, suction, and IV therapy to stabilize patients while leading the scene and ambulance operations.

Applicants must hold a CA Paramedic license and related EMS certifications, with valid CPR/ACLS/PALS or PEPP credentials, and meet all listed minimum qualifications. Internal applicants must apply via the internal portal.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver license and ambulance license.
• Paramedic license for California and current CPR/ACL S/PALS or PEPP cards.
• EMS certifications and NIMS ICS training as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and decide the best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
