Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College seeks a part-time Laboratory Professional - EMT to support the Emergency Medical Services program in the Health Sciences Division. The role reports to the Program Director and teaches credits courses, prepares lesson plans, and maintains documentation to ensure program compliance.

The position requires an EMS credential (Georgia Paramedic or NREMT Paramedic) with two years of EMT/AEMT/paramedic experience.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in field or other health related field.
Current Georgia Paramedic license or NREMT Paramedic and minimum TWO years as an EMT, AEMT, or paramedic.

Responsibilities

Teaches credited courses as assigned in accordance with course standards and approved syllabi.
Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction.
Develops program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares required budget requests.
Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate.
Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss instructional programs, curricula, and issues impacting the progress of the students.
Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
