Gwinnett Technical College is seeking a part-time Laboratory Professional-EMT in the Health Sciences Division. The role reports to the Program Director of EMS and involves teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes to meet program goals.

The position requires an Associate’s degree, current paramedic licensure, and EMT background, with potential for dedicated curriculum development and student advisement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in field or other health related field.
• Current Georgia Paramedic license or NREMT Paramedic.
• Minimum TWO years as an EMT, AEMT, or paramedic.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field from a regionally accredited institution is preferred.
• Minimum of five years teaching experience in a CoAEMSP Accredited Paramedic Program is preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and ITLS (or PHTLS) instructor certification are preferred.
• Proficiency in preparation and delivery of instruction, advisement, and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsabilités

• Teaches credited Emergency Medical Services courses as assigned.
• Develops program and syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Implements program curriculum to meet standards; ensures scheduling options for student retention.
• Meets with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs and issues.
• Maintains safety and security in the training area and completes required documentation.
