Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• Current state Paramedic License.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certification as applicable.
• Clean driving record per AMR policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG, oxygen, IV fluids and medications.
• Drive the ambulance and assist with map reading to reduce response time.
• Maintain all required certifications.
• Communicate with dispatcher for data and feedback.
• Keep the unit clean, stocked and ready for calls.
• Document patient care and billing accurately.
• Follow turnaround and out-of-chute policies.
• Consider patient needs and facility options for transport.
• Work beyond scheduled shifts when needed and collaborate with teams.
