Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring Paramedics in New Mexico to deliver high-quality patient care in a professional and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities include using defibrillators, EKG monitoring, IV therapy, oxygen, and airway management while driving ambulances and coordinating with dispatchers.

Candidates must have a State Paramedic license, valid driver’s license, and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP certifications; physical agility and ability to work extra hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (advanced education preferred).
• Current state Paramedic license required.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize medical equipment to provide advanced medical care.
• Drive the ambulance and minimize response time.
• Maintain all required certifications.
• Communicate with dispatcher for call data and feedback.
• Keep the unit clean and stocked for optimal response.
• Document patient care activities and billing accurately.
• Follow policies on out-of-chute and turnaround times.
• Determine transport destinations considering patient status and facilities.
• Work beyond scheduled shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
