Job summary

American Medical Response in Los Lunas, NM is hiring licensed Paramedics to deliver basic and advanced patient care in a professional, cost-effective manner. Paramedics assess each call, provide care, drive the ambulance, and collaborate with public safety personnel.

Required are a State Paramedic License, valid driver’s license, and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS or equivalent certifications. This full-time position offers a base salary range and sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Current state Paramedic License.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certification where applicable.
• Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize medical equipment to provide advanced medical care as required.
• Drive the ambulance and support map reading to minimize response time.
• Continuously maintain all required certifications.
• Communicate with dispatcher for call data and feedback.
• Keep the unit clean and stocked for optimal response.
• Document patient care and billing accurately.
• Follow policies on turnaround times.
• Consider patient status and destination facilities when transporting.
• Work past scheduled shift with little or no notice.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
