Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND seeks Paramedics at multiple levels. You will respond to ambulance calls across the region, perform assessments, and assist in emergency department care.

The position requires coordination with First Responders, patient counseling, and interdepartmental transport to facilities as needed. Qualified applicants have 6+ years Paramedic experience with an associate’s degree and advanced certification or 3+ years with a bachelor’s degree, plus ND DoH/NR EMT

Qualifications

• 6+ years Paramedic experience with an associate’s degree and advanced certification.
• 3+ years Paramedic experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Active Paramedic certifications (ND DoH, NREMT) before start date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ambulance calls throughout the Grand Forks region and surrounding areas.
• Perform and document patient assessments, vitals, IVs, blood sugars, and identifications.
• Assist RNs in the Emergency Room with triage and critical care.
• Document patient needs and plan care accordingly, including counseling.
• Work as part of a cohesive team with First Responders and ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Transport patients to internal departments or to Fargo/Minneapolis/Rochester as needed.
